Home / Gamoneu cheese, biodiversity, landscape, culture and gastronomy.
In two ways: a rich ecosystem and a cultural fabric, both of which are currently in a state of uncertainty. Perhaps activities like this can contribute to their conservation.
The activity takes place one morning, two days a week, in collaboration with local producers of Gamoneu Organic cheese.
This is a landscape interpretation of an organic farm that operates in a traditional manner. The farm manages a mixed livestock herd that incorporates cattle, sheep, and goats, in addition to maintaining a diversified peasant-style economy that also includes pigs, poultry, and other livestock; with production geared both for personal consumption and for sale. The farm is certified organic.
Herd management involves the use and maintenance of collectively owned forests, which complements family ownership of the farm and surrounding land.
Gamoneu cheese, certified organic and with the Gamoneu Protected Designation of Origin, is produced in a micro-cheese factory located on the farm itself.
The visit consists of four distinct phases.
