Proposed activities to discover the most representative parts of Asturias without leaving the Villaviciosa Estuary and its surroundings, staying at the Quintana de la Foncalada (Ca l'Asturcón Ecomuseum).

Description

We've designed this varied package that includes local cuisine (in a restaurant and a traditional Asturian tavern), forest bathing, a kayak tour of the reserve, a cider festival, and a visit to the "El Gaitero" cider factory or a dairy farm/cheese factory. Everything you need to discover Asturias in a weekend (2 days / 1 night).

Programme

Day 1

Arrival at the rural accommodation. Presentation of the program and gift of a bag of Asturian products. Dinner at Tazones: Gastronomic experience based on rations, two types of seafood rice, cider, and dessert. Transfer to the accommodation.

Day 2

Forest bathing: Native forest of oaks, chestnuts, etc. Interpretation of flora and fauna. Kayaking in the reserve: Guided experience led by an instructor who will take us through the designated areas of the reserve and assist us in spotting protected species. He will also explain tidal cycles, protection regimes, etc. Lunch at Casa Heladia (a typical Asturian tavern): Tasting of a traditional Asturian cuisine menu. Visit to the El Gaitero cider factory, including tasting, or to the Los Caserinos dairy and cheese farm. Return to the accommodation. Afternoon tea.
