The guides from Terix Interpretation and La Xamoca Rural Apartments have jointly designed this experience that will allow you to enjoy the roar of the mountains for 2 days and 3 nights.
La Xamoca consists of four independent apartments located in the charming village of Campiellos. The perfect place to enjoy the tranquility and relaxation you deserve, surrounded by nature, with exceptional views.

Programme

Day 1
Check-in: From 5 p.m., to be arranged.
Day 2
Breakfast: at your accommodation. 10:00 a.m. Biointerpreted walk to explore the surroundings of Redes Natural Park. A simple walking tour to discover the biodiversity we encounter in the villages of this natural area. Free afternoon with the possibility of an alternative activity.
Day 3
Breakfast at your accommodation. FREE MORNING, with the possibility of an alternative activity. 19:00 PM. The Mountain Roar. A simple hike at dusk to try to hear the rut in Redes Natural Park. We will take advantage of this natural event to learn about the biology of the red deer (Cervus elaphus), its habitat, its ecosystem relationships, and the how and why of the rut in this environment. We will debunk false myths and share interesting facts about the species.
Day 4
Breakfast at the accommodation. Check-out before 12:00 noon.

Collaboration with various nature research and conservation associations through citizen science platforms. Some examples include:
– Phalaena Project (Zerynthia Association). Butterfly Monitoring
Nocturnes in Spain using sampling stations.
– SAFE Project (Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, EBD, SECEM, SEO BirdLife and AHE). Monitoring and evaluation of the
wildlife mortality due to road accidents in Spain.
– Atlas of Breeding Birds of Spain (SEO BirdLife). Inventory of
wild birds of Spain during the breeding season.
– Bird census of the Villaviciosa Estuary (Ministry of Ecological Transition, Industry and Economic Development of Asturias).
– Bird ringing (Torquilla Ringing Group). Sampling, monitoring, and marking wild birds in natural environments in Asturias.

Sustainable tourism

The La Xamoca rural apartments accommodation is part of the Spanish Ecotourism Club, complying with the sustainability regulations required by the club.
