The bearded vulture in the Picos de Europa: Where does it fly?

Picos de Europa National Park and Biosphere Reserve

The scientific ecotourism experience consists of a 5-hour nature outing accompanied by a UIMLA (International Mountain Guides Association) mountain guide who will take us to discover the landscape, the local people, the birds and the fossils found at the gates of the Picos de Europa National Park.

Description

We will visit the Bearded Vulture Conservation Foundation Center, where its technicians will explain this important project about the Bearded Vulture.
After the visit, we will walk (easy) up to Cabeza Pandescura to admire a magnificent circular panorama over the western massif of the Picos de Europa and its surroundings.
We'll have the opportunity to observe numerous birds, including, if we're lucky, the bearded vulture. We'll search for fossils dating back 320 million years and encounter shepherds. We'll discover how livestock farming is key to the bearded vulture's existence.

It will be sent in digital format to avoid brochures and paper. We always think about nature and respect for trees.
At the meeting point, the guides will once again explain the best practices to follow during the route and in the Picos de Europa National Park.
We reduce the number of cars we use and will take the bus, whenever possible, to avoid pollution from other means of transport.
