This experience is a journey through Asturian cider traditions in Amaido, focusing on learning about apple orchards, their varieties, protected designations of origin, harvesting, and the process of making the famous Asturian cider (a World Heritage Site).

You will also learn about the ecosystems of the Eo River Biosphere Reserve, Oscos, and Terras de Burón.

Amaido Agrotourism offers three nights' accommodation at La Casona de Amaido, breakfasts featuring its signature apple, and activities centered around sweet cider, from exploring the orchards to picking the apples you'll later use for the various stages of making sweet cider.

Programme

Day 1
Arrival and reception of visitors, information on the Río Eo, Oscos, and Terras de Burón Biosphere Reserves, as well as information on activities, schedules, and Amaido. Dinner and restaurant.
Day 2
Breakfast. We'll explore the Pomaradas and pick different types of apples for later processing in the afternoon. The afternoon will be dedicated to cider making: washing, sorting, crushing, pressing, and tasting the sweet cider. At the same time, the chestnuts will be roasted to be eaten with the sweet cider. Dinner will follow.
Day 3
Breakfast. We exchange impressions and return home recharged.
