Home / Underwater expedition to the Cíes Islands. Snorkeling safari from a schooner.
This vessel is 18,70 meters long, 5 meters wide, and 1,65 meters deep. It is rigged with two masts built in the style of the period and has square sails, also made of standard materials. We will sail if the group has experience in this type of voyage. The objective of these expeditions is to raise awareness among visitors through knowledge provided by specialized guides on various topics.
What does it entail? We'll depart from the port of Cangas early in the morning. During the journey, we'll moor alongside in a raft to learn about the life in this ecosystem. An explanation will be given on the surface of the platform. If we're lucky, we'll also be able to observe other fishing techniques.
This will be an expedition to explore the rich marine biodiversity of the Cíes Islands. Our expert guides will encourage the group to reflect on the importance of the marine environment in our lives and show them how they can contribute to conservation.
You'll dive into the waters of the National Park on a guided snorkeling tour to discover its hidden underwater wildlife.
There will be a pre-briefing to introduce the activity and equipment, including submersible identification boards that will help the group find and recognize the different species that will accompany us on this underwater tour.
Afterwards, we will do the snorkeling tour with two guides and the support equipment.
Approximate snorkeling duration: 2 hours.
Hours: 10.00 a.m. to 18.00 p.m.

Dissemination and conservation of the marine environment.
We draw on environmental education and scientific knowledge to develop our materials and activities. Our main motivation and ultimate goal is to raise awareness about the importance of caring for the marine environment and mobilize action for changes at the individual and local levels that contribute to the preservation of our most important ally, the sea.
These expeditions are the result of a union of small businesses that share common values regarding respect and environmental awareness. We participated in the following proposal:

Virtual dives, talks, workshops, diving safaris, photography exhibitions... all to bring this great unknown a little closer.
